Apr 12 2008, 2:46 PM EDT Listen, I will tell you this. Back when I was like 8 I've always wanted to make games. Now I'm 13 and I making them. I don't care about people like you who don't like my games. I make then because it's what I like to do and if you think I'm such a fired newt make your own game let's see how you do!! Most people would call my games bad and some i do regret making but I have fun making them and I won't stop because it's what I love to do. So I won't stop and you will keep seeing them. One day you will probably end up liking a couple. I just started making games 4 months ago and I'm already getting them on one of the worlds biggest gaming website. Also Spencer.Pwns is not me. In fact why would I just want to make more then 1 account it won't help. It will just waste time. All I know about Spence is that one day he said he could help out so I let him. MooMoo_Cowfreak one day I will love to see you when your still sitting at home trying to make fun of peoples games when your broke and homeless. 5 out of 8 found this valuable. Do you? |

Apr 13 2008, 4:30 PM EDT Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against you at all. It's just that you might want to consider taking some time into thinking out your games, and taking some serious time. I don't make games myself, but there are a few things I can recommend for you to do. 1. Get a graphic artist, or learn how to draw yourself Most of your games graphics are not the greatest. Sure, you can tell what's going on, but it's not very pleasing to the eye. If you can get someone to help make sprites for you, that'd be great, or if you could learn it better yourself, that'd help as well. Photoshop is a helpful program. 2. Take your time I can tell you rush through all these games, for whatever reason. You have no reason to worry and get them out soon. 3. Make your own original ideas. A lot of your games are just clones of other popular games, Cat-Chucker or whatever it's called be a good example. A clone doesn't hurt on occasion, if you improve upon the original, but the generally don't go down to well. An idea all your own would really help. 4. Have somebody make music that suits your game A lot of your music doesn't exactly fit the mood of the game. Lot's of people are out there who would love to get there music public, and a video game is an easy way to do it. So, there's some actual constructive criticism. I tried not to be mean, cause I'm sorta respecting you now. I'm also aware you're only 13, which is actually younger than me. I figured you were some 20 year old or something. A 13 year old has an excuse to make mediocre games, since you only have minimal experience. And about liking a couple... We'll see 5 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you? |

Apr 13 2008, 5:56 PM EDT Ok, ok, I do admit I'm not the best artist around. It's just that it's hard trying to find someone to draw really good things. Photoshop I do have some xp with it. I'm still trying though to get the fell for it. Have somebody make music? I have a site that I go to that lets me license music for my own use. I usually find something good there. But, finding somebody to do that might help. Ah and the clone part. I agree almost 60% of that. I did make Catapult Animal. Based off of kitty cannon. Also Wall Avoider's a little bit based off of Mouse Avoider. Also Also the 1st & 2nd Stupid Tests we're based off the Idiot Tests. Apache and Shoot The Smiys 1&2 we're (well i thought) pretty original,but now a days it's hard trying to come up with a game that's original. Because theres so many.... And also. I know I do rush things a lot. I try not too, but when I'm excited I kinda rush things. I did see some people saying on AG.com that I make my games to fast. In fact Shoot The Smilys 2 and Element Turret came out together so close cause I worked on them at the same time. 3 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

Music (Contact Dunce at engine001.com for free midi ,and he makes it with Midi Maker) Sprites Spritedatabase.net Map001 also has some trees and tile sets and the site has a whole ot of free custom resources with no credit needed. INTERFACES none :P You might want to use map001 a bit. I mean, if you want a good script at the end of the script you're making turn it in to text, copy it, and paste it. Not to be advertising, but you might wanna check out the trailer of this video and get ideas from it, like, (it's a zombie game) a zombie game...
